Relating to the micro and macro perspectives of organisms to societies the use of thread was originally intended to give both familiarity and contrast to the remaining body of the canvas. Being a separate tangible line that has become an ‘addition’ to a body of a similar material had been the concept at the beginning stages of development. However, with the current exhibition series, the thread has taken on other aesthetic definitions as well as conceptual meanings and most importantly, it has now become a vital visual artistic signature.The current series I am proposing to exhibit at the given space at San Li Tun are those that are quite distinguishable from the minimalist, earlier bodies of works. Although certain Asian Philosophical elements are still present as a valid theory when creating this series, however, aesthetically, the focal point had shifted to a coarse, hectic and chaotic communication of thread. The developmental progress of the San Li Tun exhibition series had been set focus to ‘communication’, ‘holograms’ and ‘spaces’ which had been additions to the progressive study that still continues.
